The Dow 50 Value Dividend Portfolio, Series 50 ("Trust") seeks to provide total return primarily through capital appreciation and current dividend income by investing in a portfolio of common stocks.
Historical Annual Dividend Distribution* | $0.5260 |
* The Historical Annual Dividend Distribution (HADD) is as of the day prior to trust deposit and subject to change. There is no guarantee the issuers of the securities included in the Trust will declare dividends or distributions in the future. The HADD of the securities included in the Trust is for illustrative purposes only and is not indicative of the Trust’s distribution rate. The HADD is the weighted average of the trailing twelve-month distributions paid by the securities included in the portfolio and is reduced to account for the effects of fees and expenses, which will be incurred when investing in the Trust. The HADD will vary due to certain factors that may include, but are not limited to, a change in the dividends paid by issuers, a change in Trust expenses or the sale or maturity of securities in the portfolio.
Past performance is no guarantee of future results. Investment returns and principal value will fluctuate with changes in market conditions. Investors' units, when redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original cost.

Principal Investment Strategy
Under normal circumstances, the Trust will invest at least 80% of the value of its assets in dividend-paying securities. The Trust aims to provide a portfolio of 50 value securities from the Dow Jones U.S. Top-Cap Value Total Stock Market Index that are dividend-paying as of the security selection date. The Sponsor, with the assistance of Guggenheim Partners Investment Management, LLC (“GPIM”), an affiliate of the Sponsor and Guggenheim Partners, LLC, has selected the securities to be included in the Trust’s portfolio. The Trust may invest in companies with small-, mid- and large-capitalizations. The U.S.-listed common stocks held by the Trust may include the common stocks of U.S. and non-U.S. companies and may include the securities of issuers located in emerging market countries. The Trust may include securities of real estate investment Trusts (“REITs”). As a result of the strategy, the Trust invests significantly in the financial sector.

Selection CriteriaThe Trust’s portfolio is constructed and the securities are selected using the methodology described below. In constructing the Trust portfolio, securities will be selected based on the following fundamentally-based quantitative criteria:
Santa Monica Quantitative (SMQ) Alpha Score The Santa Monica Quantitative (SMQ) Alpha Score seeks to measure the market implied discount rate (in excess to risk free rates) that is embedded in the price of a company’s stock. To determine the Alpha Score for a given company, the company’s future cash flows are estimated through a forward-looking discounted free cash flow (“FCF”) model that takes into account each firm’s current balance sheet composition, returns on capital, and normalization assumptions that include excess returns on capital approaching industry average levels over a long-term horizon. The market price of the stock of each firm is used to solve for the discount rate that is required to equate future modeled cash flow streams to current equity value. |
Risks and Other ConsiderationsAs with all investments, you may lose some or all of your investment in the Trust. No assurance can be given that the Trust’s investment objective will be achieved. The Trust also might not perform as well as you expect. This can happen for reasons such as these:
